Jewellery

As with any business, one of the main aims in the jewellery and silverware market is to maximise profit. With costly materials, manufacturing and craftspeople it can be difficult to afford the time to experiment and develop new work, especially if the client rejects the prototype after it has been made. 3D visualisation removes these constraints, allowing you to fully resolve the design and present the work with minimal expenditure.

After a range of work has been made, visualisation can still play a very important role. Rather than transporting expensive goods they can be delivered on an interactive compact disc, where clients can view all of the work and examine it from any angle. Online catalogues can come to life with animated views of the work, enabling customers to further appreciate the design. Posters and other promotional material can be created without relying on conventional photography. Our models can be viewed from any angle, with any background, lighting and even on a figure.

Rapid prototyping is not a new concept by any means, but the use of the technology has only become available for jewellery in recent years. The models that we create at Flux3D are easily converted into the appropriate format (stereo lithography) for prototyping.

     

 

Architecture, interior design & exhibition design

3D computer graphics offers a number of advantages over traditional approaches such as hand drawn artwork. Once the project has been modeled in 3D, it can be viewed from any angle, animated, blended into photography of a site, animated as a walk through of the entire building and put to music or your own voice over. The project can even be viewed 'deconstructed' with cut away sections which could be colour coded for reference.


Ideally when the marketing phase is reached, the model can be re-used to produce higher quality posters and video, which can be very cost effective.
